Dear Teachers & Parents

We are thrilled to present the Mindful Monsters program, a fun and educational way to teach mindfulness and emotional support in the classroom or at home. The program features Mindful Monster Rocks, each with a unique virtue, such as patience, courage, and compassion, to help students learn and practice important life skills.

Studies have shown that mindfulness and emotional regulation practices can significantly benefit students by reducing stress, increasing focus, and promoting overall well-being. Mindful Monsters provides a lively and interactive approach to learning these valuable skills, offering a variety of activities and lessons that incorporate the Mindful Monster Rocks.

Each Mindful Monster Rock represents a different virtue, offering a fun and imaginative way for students to learn about and practice important life skills. We believe that the Mindful Monsters program has the potential to make a positive impact on your students' lives and we are excited to support you in any way we can.

Exciting update… we are currently developing further resources including story books and a classroom guide for how to incorporate the Mindful Monsters into a learning program. In the meantime, please find some simple ideas below.

Sincerely,

The Mindful Monsters Team

Mindful Monster Rocks can be a valuable tool for promoting mindfulness and emotional support in the classroom. Here are a few ways they can be used:

  1. Mindfulness Practice: Incorporating Mindful Monster Rocks into mindfulness activities, such as deep breathing or guided meditation, can help students focus and stay present in the moment, reducing stress and improving overall well-being.

  2. Emotional Support: Teachers can provide Mindful Monster Rocks to students as a source of comfort during challenging times, helping them manage their emotions and feelings.

  3. Positive Behaviour Encouragement: Mindful Monster Rocks can serve as reminders of positive emotions and behaviours, encouraging students to think and act in positive ways.

  4. Health: Exploring different virtues and personal qualities. Learning how to strengthen these qualities in ourselves through focus and attention.

  5. Creative writing tasks: Using the Mindful Monsters as characters within stories, showing how they each bring different qualities to a situation or interaction with others.

  6. Group Activities: Teachers can facilitate group activities using Mindful Monster Rocks, such as sorting and categorising the rocks based on their designs or emotions they represent.

  7. Art Projects: Mindful Monster Rocks can be used in art and craft activities, allowing students to express themselves creatively and explore their imagination.

  8. Stress Management: Teachers can provide Mindful Monster Rocks as a tool for students to manage stress and anxiety, encouraging them to take breaks and practice mindfulness when feeling overwhelmed.

Incorporating Mindful Monster Rocks into the classroom can be a fun and engaging way to promote mindfulness and emotional support in students, and help them develop positive coping strategies.
